To help members articulate key housing priorities, NAHB created the Monthly Update which provides the latest messaging framework for the Federation. An exclusive benefit for NAHB members and local and state association leaders, the Monthly Update includes top-line information on housing economics and industry priorities.

Some highlights within the Monthly Update for July include issue updates and talking points related to:

  • NAHB Chief Economist Robert Dietz’s analysis of future market conditions and forecast for single-family construction.
  • A breakdown of the U.S. Supreme Court’s verdict that reforms the power of federal agencies to interpret the laws they administer. The Supreme Court ruled that federal courts should rely on their own interpretation of ambiguous laws rather than defer to the agencies.
  • The latest Construction Labor Market Report from the Home Builders Institute (HBI) showing that the industry will need 2.17 million additional construction workers over the next three years just to keep up with demand.

The Monthly Update is accessible to members, executive officers and HBA staff signed in to csucri.com. In addition to the talking points, members can access the Senior Officers’ home builders association travel schedule for the next six months.
